We took these photos a couple weeks after their wedding day, when I happened upon them at the first “must-see” spot in Portland. I have always wanted to visit the west coast and recently Portland became one of the top places to visit. I can’t say why exactly – but I suspect it has a lot to do with Heidi’s stunning imagery which I cannot get enough of. The city of bridges boasts a ton of scenery – and my sister had picked out this spot specifically after a quick search on the top places to see.
We arrived at the park just before sunset, and the minute I stepped out I recognized the bridge from an engagement photo I had seen by none other than Heidi and got WAY too excited – kind of like being on a movie set where your favorite artists had performed. I told my husband “if only I could shoot a wedding here!” – which is basically something I say whenever we come across a beautiful landscape – sure enough when we reached the middle of the park I spotted a gorgeous bride & groom. I went about my business taking photos of the bridge and as always I congratulated the bride & groom – which is when I asked if I could take some photos of them and…this happened! Enjoy!
I hope this isn’t the last I have seen of Portland, so if you’re planning your wedding in Bridgetown, drop me a line. I’d love to talk to you!
