It’s such a treat for me to work with couples from all over the globe, and in one of my favorite locations – Dows Lake. Being based in Canada’s Capital means I will meet people traveling from everywhere. Hajjar actually lives in Ottawa but her fiance Nabil, is from Morocco!
When we met to plan the engagement shoot I learned all about their wedding plans to take place there in a few months time and it sounded like an absolute dream. Unfortunately their long distance relationship had to continue a while longer as Nabil went back to work the next day after the shoot. I had just landed from my West Coast vacation where I worked with some beautiful people in both Victoria and Portland, and we scheduled the session for the very next (and only) day we could!
They were super adventurous and up for all my wild ideas as we most definitely got our workouts in that day trekking around the Dows Lake grounds and Pavilion. We caught the last of the pretty blooms as summer started to say goodbye, and it was the perfect end to the perfect visit. The next time they meet will be their wedding day (in Morocco!)
