Darien and Sarah’s engagement at Major’s Hill Park, Ottawa is one out of a romantic movie! They took a helicopter ride through the mountains while on a trip in Vancouver, and landed near a river with a salmon run. Darien had thoughtfully planned out how he would propose, and it turned out perfectly with a stunning view, and some drinks to celebrate after Sarah said yes!
We planned their engagement session to catch the last of the fall season. It was the morning of Remembrance Day in Canada, we met very early at the Byward Market and began our day with a whole lotta cuddles and love on this very cold November morning. Sarah & Darien’s new life adventure includes not just their engagement and impending wedding celebrations, but one more teensy thing…their big move to the UK! We strolled, laughed and chatted away as we explored Major’s Hill Park. I came to know just how sweet and kind they are, it truly warmed my heart. It was certainly a cold day, but we made the most of it and wrapped up in time for them to catch some breakfast in the market.
I am really looking forward to their late summer wedding next year (being planned by the talented ladies at Toast events) in the newly renovated NAC’s O’Born room. They clearly have a thing for views, because this space overlooks the parliaments and the chateau laurier, both iconic Ottawa landmarks, presenting a breathtaking sight to take in during the wedding. I can’t wait!
