I know I’ve been slacking on my Favourite Friday posts, but I promise it’s because I’ve been very busy settling into a new city and organizing my home office. My watch was given to me by my mom as a graduation gift and I absolutely love it! It’s aluminum which makes it really light, not at all bulky on my wrist and it has a nice shimmery silver color. I really like that it goes with everything I wear (I’d like to think anyway) and is also a mini calendar, it tells me what day it is. Now I have this habit of checking my watch for the date and time. Even when I don’t have it on I instinctively glace to my wrist to check the date. I know it’s not the first watch in the history of watches to tell the date, but it’s not a digital one so that does make it cool. A funny story; when I was in my undergrad I had (and still have) a very unreliable phone that just dies on me when I need it most. My sense of time isn’t perfect unless I know what time it is, so my husband always said he was going to get me a watch so I wouldn’t be able to say “but…my phone died!!!” My mother beat him to the punch, but the whole point was I needed it when I had classes more than anything and I got it as a gift after that was all over. I ended up getting him a watch for our anniversary instead 😀
