HEBA JAY – Dearborn, MI
Have you heard of this amazing woman? if you haven’t, you have to get to know her. She is a fashion blogger, and she originally began her path along with her sister, Farah. They were The Jay Sisters, but eventually Heba continued blogging under her own name. I discovered them on Instagram while perusing the fashion hashtags and loved their page. The unique and classy style, the boldness, the freakin’ beauty (see below). Eventually, we became IG friends (yes to the internet!!) and decided we should meet one day. Fast forward a few years and we were finally in Dearborn at the same time. We bonded over burgers, at a local Dearborn spot – which is where we also took the photos. It was such a gloomy day, threatening to pour any minute so we snapped a quick set before we headed off for our favourite treat – coffee!
Sometimes you meet people in your adult life and get along with them as if you had been friends since childhood. Heba is one of those people. She is exactly my kind of person. A genuine, sarcastic, hilarious and strong woman. I can’t wait for our next meeting in New York!

Fashion photography is something that I hold close to my heart. While it’s not my main focus in my business, I continue to shoot it now and again for my own benefit and pleasure. There is a whole backstory as to why this is, and it has a lot to do with my original “what I want to be when I grow up” dreams. Maybe I’ll write about it more some day.
