From the moment Dominik reached out to me, even before she was officially engaged, I knew her wedding day was going to be special. She wanted to ensure that I would capture the day they’d been dreaming of, and as soon as she said yes, I received a video of the proposal. That’s the kind of couple Dominik and Dominik are—intentional, thoughtful, and deeply connected. Their wedding day at the stunning NAC O’Born Room was a true reflection of their love story, filled with meaningful moments and incredible style.

The morning began with Dominik (the bride) at her parents’ home, surrounded by her bridesmaids. One of the sweetest moments was when her sister helped her put on her veil—it was a quiet but emotional exchange that I was so honored to capture. Meanwhile, Dominik (the groom) was at their home, getting ready with the guys… and their little turtles, which made for some fun and unique getting-ready moments!

The reception at the NAC O’Born Room was nothing short of breathtaking. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the room was flooded with natural light, offering an iconic view of downtown Ottawa. The space was beautifully styled with plenty of greens and white florals, thanks to The Gathering Event Co., which complemented the modern, fresh aesthetic of the NAC perfectly. The florals brought the room to life without overwhelming it, striking the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity.

Dominik and Dominik made an unforgettable entrance with a choreographed routine alongside their wedding party, setting the tone for an evening full of joy and celebration. The bride had a wardrobe change into a chic fastener for the reception, which was such a fun and personal touch.

One of my favorite parts of the day was their wedding party photos at Major’s Hill Park. It was the perfect spot to capture the joy and excitement of the day against the stunning Ottawa skyline.

Dominik and Dominik’s wedding felt incredibly personal to me, not just because of the moments I was able to capture, but because of how intentional they were about having me there. From that first email before they were even engaged to the special moments we shared on their big day, I felt so connected to their journey.
